Description: This three story, nine building computer research complex in the Almaden Valley south of San Jose contains 400,000 square feet of space and cost $125 million to construct in 1986. The structural steel frame supports the custom aluminum curtain wall. The building houses 600 research laboratories, theater, computer study, wastewater treatment plant, chemical storage building and high security guardhouses.

Vehicle Maintenance Facility

Description: This single-level postal facility is used for maintaining the fleet of USPS vehicles in the urban areas east of Seattle.  It contains 14,000 square feet and cost $1.1 million to construct in 1990. The concrete block structure is provided with a brightly-colored metal roof and the facility houses five vehicle service bays, paint shop and miscellaneous support areas.

Description: This single-level postal facility serving the City of Silverdale contains 16,000 square feet and cost $1.3 million to construct in 1988. The strong geometric shape in brick identifies the front entry and the building houses a customer service lobby, lockbox lobby, mail sorting area, loading dock and miscellaneous support areas.

Description: This single-level postal facility serving the City of Sumner contains 18,000 square feet and cost $1.6 million to construct in 1988. The wood frame lies beneath the brick and glass block exterior siding.  The front elevation recalls train stations of yesteryear and the building houses a customer service lobby, lockbox lobby, mail sorting area, loading dock and miscellaneous support areas.

Description: This 38-story tower in downtown Seattle contains 810,000 square feet of rentable office space and cost $33 million to construct in 1980. The slip-formed reinforced concrete core supports the structural steel frame and aluminum and glass curtain wall.  The walls on the lobby floor are clad with highly-polished Brazilian granite and trimmed with stainless steel.

Description: This 35-story tower in downtown Seattle contains 440,000 square feet of rentable office space and cost $25 million to construct in 1982. The structural steel frame supports the precast concrete floor slabs and marble and glass curtain wall.  The lower level houses a full gymnasium with swimming pool and the roof deck doubles as an outdoor running track.  In addition to the office tower, a nine-story parking garage and skybridge to the Westin Hotel were constructed for the Owner.

Portland Justice Center

Description: This 18-story, multi-use building in downtown Portland contains 500,000 square feet and cost $42 million to construct in 1984. The reinforced concrete frame supports the precast and honed concrete panel exterior.  The building houses 480 low and medium security jail cells, four district courtrooms, main police station and rentable retail space.  The project displays a great deal of public art, including sculptures, paintings and stained glass.

Description: This retail Town Center in the Issaquah Highlands master-planned community will serve its 4,000 families when completed in phases beginning in mid-2011.  The 90 acre site will include a movie theater, grocery store, multi-tenant “Lifestyle Center”, hospital, medical and professional offices, restaurants, drugstore, parking garages and large public plaza.  The nearly $600 million project is in its early conceptual design and site permitting stages.

Description: This single-level retail shopping center located in Normandy Park contains four separate structures on a 5.5 acre site. The buildings total 53,800 square feet and cost 5.7 million to construct in September of 2007. The wood-framed structures are clad with brick, concrete block and wood siding, utilizing extensive storefront glass and metal canopies.
