Description: This four-level, fully occupied condominium community on the shores of Lake Washington in Kirkland contains 44 residential units and was constructed in 1984 by another contractor. Since severe water damage was discovered within the exterior walls, these walls were completely rebuilt with cementitious panel siding, upgraded sheathing and insulation and structural wood framing, along with significant seismic upgrades to improve the building’s performance during earthquakes. New energy efficient windows and doors and contemporary balconies and railing were also installed to upgrade the look of the building. The repair work cost $2 million and will be completed in the summer of 2010.
